The 4 Foods I Used To Eat All The Time But Don’t Anymore

Today’s theme is pretty much the complete opposite of yesterday.

In today’s article, I am sharing with you the foods that use to be staples in my diet but that I no longer rely on like I used to.

1. Cereal:  Cereal tastes great and it is certainly fun to try different varieties but once I got into whole grain steel cut oats, there was never any going back.
2. Milk+ Yogurt: Ah dairy! Yes I’ve had my fair share in my life but I’ve hardly had any in the past few years. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not necessarily anti dairy and I believe it has great utility as a vehicle for calcium, vitamin A and vitamin D ( which many of us need more of!). The thing is though, I just don’t really need to get those nutrients from dairy as my diet is so strong in other areas. After a life full of dairy, I’m at the point where I’d rather have different types of foods. Don’t get me wrong though, if someone is serving Dairy Queen cake I will be the first in line.
3. Eggs: I used to be an absolute egg addict. I was having 6 a day at breakfast at one point in time but I eventually found they began to bother my stomach. At first, I was able to cut down the quantities and my symptoms would resolve but now I find even 3 eggs in one sitting can bother me.  Don’t get me wrong I still eat them from time to time ( and certainly enjoy them) but I now prefer to rely on peanut butter, avocados , nuts , seeds and tofu in their place.
4. Granola Bars/ Protein Bars etc: When I was younger I used to think these things were the bomb but you couldn’t convince me today that a banana and a handful of nuts isn’t a better choice.

Those are my selections guys!

What are the foods you used to heavily include in your diet but just don’t have room for anymore?
