“4 Years Of No Exercise” – Inspirational Friday Feature by Lauren Klukas

Lauren Klukas of The Complete Plate stumbled upon me on Instagram and reached out to me with a very inspirational personal tale which she asked me to share.

I really do believe that the sharing of personal experiences, struggles and successes in the realm of health are of great value, and so I was more than happy to accommodate her request.

Once you hear what she has to say, you will understand why I gladly obliged.

Before we get to that though, let’s learn a bit more about Lauren today.

About Lauren

When Doctors told Lauren four years ago to give up all exercise indefinitely, after being diagnosed with arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) a rare disease of the heart muscle, she developed The Complete Plate. Lauren’s new reality has no room for fad or detox diets that A) do not last longer than a week or 2 and B ) Don’t work! The Complete Plate is committed to educating others on the importance of establishing sustainable, long-term healthy eating habits through developing healthy relationships with food and promoting critical thinking skills. Lauren is also the Host of The Complete Plate which airs on Shaw Calgary TV. To ensure that Lauren has the greatest impact in promoting her mission she has partnered with Janine Elenko a Registered Dietitian out of Calgary who is currently working on her practicum for her Master’s in Public Health.
