Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD – Crohn’s & Colitis)

Inflammatory bowel disease, often referred to as IBD, is an umbrella term for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

Crohn’s and colitis are diseases of the gastrointestinal system that are characterized by chronic inflammation and several additional layers of complexity that vary between them and the individual’s suffering from them.

It’s not a topic that I’ve spent a great deal of time researching, but I get a strong sense that there is a clamouring for more reliable evidence-based information related to these conditions.

Fortunately my Kaleigraphy client and fellow dietitian Ashley Hurst is an IBD-focused practitioner.

She’s been producing very high value written IBD content over the last several weeks and it made perfect sense for me to show off some of her work not only because she is a client of mine, but because this information is so valuable for anyone out there with IBD who may be lost in a sea of internet misinformation.
