I’m excited to be introducing you Nutes, a Canadian-made food company that specializes in frozen smoothie blends with a super food twist.
In today’s post I’m going to briefly discuss the role I see smoothies play in the lives of my clients from my perspective as a dietitian and from there we will jump right into showing off the truly impressive product line that Nutes has to offer.
Let’s get to the good stuff!
My Views On Smoothies
Smoothies are widely enjoyed due to their convenience, great taste and unique ability to incorporate a wide array of ingredients that someone may not otherwise consume in other ways.
For this reason, they address a number of key factors people tend to take into consideration when deciding whether or not to introduce a new product into the routines of themselves and their families.
Some of the most prominent considerations I see in my clients are:
- Convenience – is it easy to prepare?
- Nutritional Value – does it deliver key nutrients?
- Taste – does it taste great?
- Enticement – does it have something unique, intriguing about it?
On some level these are obvious, but the reality is there are only so many products out there that truly check all four boxes.
As I go through today’s content, you will have a better understanding of why Nutes frozen smoothies are one of them.

A review of the product variety on offer, including the unique ingredient blends in each, speaks to the diverse flavour and nutrient profiles that Nutes smoothies provide.
With that in mind, let’s take a deeper dive at the nutrient profile of one of their products – the nutrition label below is for one serving ( 2 frozen pucks, 10 per bag) of Go Go Green.
In addition to an incredible amount of antioxidants and other beneficial compounds from the diverse array of raw plant-based ingredients, we can clearly see that a serving of this product contains 15%+ daily value of many nutrients Canadians fall short in – magnesium, fibre, potassium and Vitamin A.
If prepared with a fortified milk product the calcium content would also go past 15% of DV while staying in and around the 250 calorie mark and the protein content could go beyond 10 grams, depending on type of milk used.
Easy To Prepare
I’ll be the first to admit that convenience is key, and preparing Nutes smoothies could not get much easier.
