Those of you who have been following me for a while will know that, in addition to my own private practice and writing endeavours, I help coach and support other nutrition professionals in the world of blogging, social media (or both!) through my Kaleigraphy program.
Kaleigraphy is a one-on-one mentorship program where you work with me directly on taking your writing and/or social media strategy to the next level.
You can learn more about it by clicking on the logo below or reaching out to me directly.
Now it’s time to get to the start of the show, my new client Tenille Sonnichsen who is a registered dietitian out of Winnipeg and owner of HeartNutrition.net.
Tenille, @heart.nutritionist on Instagram, is a seasoned practitioner and has worked with hundreds of heart disease survivors.
She is the type of person you want to know if you or someone you love needs guidance navigating the world of heart disease, especially since she has ample experience in the world of secondary prevention (which not everyone does, by the way!).
As I do with all new social clients, I’m going to give Tenille the opportunity to introduce herself on my page and let you guys know what she’s all about.
An Introduction To The Heart Nutritionist
By Tenille Sonnichsen, BSc, RD of HeartNutrition.net
Ready to help you live a Heart Healthy life… without restrictive eating or fad diets!
I am a Registered Dietitian in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I spend my days helping people lower their cholesterol, blood pressure and extra body fat to reduce their risk of heart attack and stroke. I have been helping people improve their heart health since 2008.
My call to work in heart health began when I got a phone call that my dad had just had a heart attack!
He had been having rising blood pressure and cholesterol levels for years, and had been putting off making any changes to his diet and lifestyle.
I decided I wanted to help people with rising cholesterol and blood pressure levels make realistic and sustainable change to help prevent a first (or second or third) heart attack or stroke!
I help people with rising cholesterol and blood pressure levels:
- Find practical ways to reduce their risk of future heart attack & stroke
- Reduce their cholesterol, blood pressure and inflammation
- Ditch restrictive and fad diets
- Live longer, healthier lives
I provide:
- Realistic actionable plans
- Recipes and meal planning
- Habit change coaching
- Lifestyle solutions
- Individual support
- Real solutions, real results
I completed my Bachelor of Human Nutritional Sciences degree at the University of Manitoba, and my Dietetic internship in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I am a member of the College of Dietitians of Manitoba, Dietitians of Canada, the Manitoba Sport Nutrition Network, and the Consulting Dietitians Network.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing volleyball, hiking, and spending time with my husband and two kids.
