If there’s one thing I’ve learned in all my years as a dietitian it’s the following:
You can NEVER have enough delicious and nutritious snack options to offer your clients.
Snacking has once again risen to prominence during a time where working from home and being in the immediate vicinity of ample food options has been the reality for many of us.
I speak to so many people about their snacking habits and can appreciate more than most the desire for novelty and variety in snacking options.
Essentially, most of my clients are looking for snacks that fulfil the following 3 categories;
And that’s exactly where today’s collaboration with Canadian run company HoneyBar comes in to play.
You guys already know from my previous work how much I love collaborating with local companies that create products fulfilling my client needs, and I consider HoneyBar to right among that list.
Their product line consists of a variety of granola bars and slightly smaller snack bites that are bound by wholesome ingredients, great taste and honey – which is the only sweetener and binding agent used.
The goal of today’s blog post is to introduce you to my favourite products from their line up and help you understand why, as a dietitian, I feel great about recommending them to my clients.
HoneyBar Trail Mix Bar
Love trail mix?
Don’t enjoy the time and effort required to make your own?
Well, HoneyBar has you covered with their Trail Mix bar – a personal favourite of mine because I personally rely on snack time to get my nut intake for the day in.
If you’ve read my previous content, you will know how much I value nuts for their multiple nutrition benefits including exceptional cholesterol lowering capacity and the fact they are high in a number of nutrients, such as magnesium, that many Canadians fall short in.
The Trail Mix Bar has 5 ingredients only; peanuts, honey, raisins, sunflower seeds, almonds and pumpkin seeds – an exceptional array as I’m sure you can appreciate, with each bar containing 7 grams of protein and 4 grams of fibre.
You can see it pretty much perfectly replicates a homemade trail mix from the nutrition side of things and, of course, is a big winner from the time & convenience perspective.
HoneyBar Almond Salted Caramel Snack Bites
I chose this particular product because it essentially amounts to a flavour explosion in your mouth.
Obviously taste and deliciousness, subjective as they may be, are important snack criteria and knowing how many people are partial to salty and savoury snack options – the Almond Salted Caramel Snack bites just perfectly fit the bill.
The snack bites are essentially mini granola bars that are under 100 calories each with 4 grams of fibre, 3 grams of protein and once again only 5 ingredients including Peanuts, Almonds, Honey, Crisp Brown Rice, Sea Salt and Natural Caramel Flavouring.
Ready To Take Your Snack Game To The Next Level?
